The club you didn't know you needed.
Are you expecting a baby?
Becoming a dad is life-changing. It’s exciting, exhausting, overwhelming, and yes, sometimes downright confusing. Whether you're figuring out how to hold a bottle without spilling, changing diapers at lightning speed, or navigating the new dynamic with your partner, it’s a lot to take in. And you’re not alone in feeling that way.
That’s why the New Dads Group exists: to help you make sense of it all and feel confident, supported, and connected as you step into fatherhood.
Cost: $45/Session
Hi, I’m Ruthie Perez, LPC. I’m a licensed therapist, mom, and advocate for dads who often get left out of the parenting conversation. I know firsthand how challenging (and amazing) this stage of life can be, and I’m here to guide you through it with tools, tips, and a lot of understanding.
Let’s face it: society doesn’t always give dads a space to talk about their struggles. You’re expected to be the rock, the provider, and the problem-solver—but who’s there to help you? This group is that space.
Here’s what we’ll tackle together:
Sleepless nights: How do you survive on four hours of sleep?
Partner dynamics: Finding balance when your relationship feels like a tag-team match.
Dad guilt: Yes, it’s a thing. Let’s unpack it.
Identity shifts: Who are you now, and how do you keep a sense of yourself?
The baby connection: Building a bond with your little one, even when it doesn’t come naturally at first.
No judgment. Just support.
This is a casual, relaxed group where you can share, vent, and learn from other dads who get it. Led by a licensed therapist and fellow parent, our sessions are packed with practical advice, shared experiences, and a good dose of humor.
